Auburn Mountainview’s Christian Rotter named Athlete of the Year | Prep cross country

The South Puget Sound League 3A honored Auburn Mountainview junior Christian Rotter as the boys cross country Athlete of the Year this past week. This year is the second consecutive year Rotter – who won the league and district titles and placed 26th at the state meet – has won the award.

Auburn Mountainview was honored as a team to receive the Sportsmanship Award, sharing the honor with the Enumclaw squad.

Individually, Auburn Riverside junior Corey Brinkman was chosen to the all-league first team and Raven senior Dax Tate was chosen to the second team.

ALSO: For the SPSL 3A girls, Auburn Mountainview freshman Samantha Goedde, who appeared in her first state competition this year, was chosen to the all=league first team and Auburn Riverside junior Amanda Bunger was named to the second team.
