Auburn Riverside’s Mitch Hagerty earns spot in Washington State all-star senior boys basketball game

Auburn Riverside senior guard Mitch Hagerty will play in the Washington State Boys Basketball Senior All-star Game March 21 at Franklin High School

Hagerty, who will be a member of the 4A team, is the owner of several Auburn Riverside boys basketball records including the single-season scoring record with 405 and the career rebounding record with 396 in his four years playing for the Ravens. Hagerty, who graduates in June, is also second on the all-time scorer list at Auburn Riverside, with 1,077 points.

“I am extremely proud of Mitch for earning a spot on the 4A All-state team, the first (Auburn) Riverside player to be chosen for this prestigious honor,” Raven coach Tom Adams said in a press release. “It goes to show if you put forth great effort for the team, the team’s success will then come back to you in the form of individual recognition.”

In addition to his state all-star nod, Hagerty was named to the South Puget Sound League 4A North Division second team this season.
