Jackson darts to third straight 400-meter state title | 1A prep track and field

Northwest School senior and Auburn resident Maya Jackson finished her high school track and field career with a third consecutive victory in the 400-meter dash at the 1A state championships at Eastern Washington University in Cheney this past weekend.

Northwest School senior and Auburn resident Maya Jackson finished her high school track and field career with a third consecutive victory in the 400-meter dash at the 1A state championships at Eastern Washington University in Cheney this past weekend.

Jackson covered the quarter-mile race in 56.74 seconds.

She also took third in the 200 meters (25.92) and fifth in the 100 (13.02) for a total of 10 state medals in the last four years.

Jackson and her teammates also scored enough points to finish third in the overall team race.
