Mountainview boys even mark in SPSL soccer play

The Auburn Mountainview boys soccer team improved to 2-2-0 in the South Puget Sound League 3A Division, 5-5-1 overall, with a 2-0 shutout of Clover Park this past Tuesday.

The Lions were keyed by Issac Cardoza who had a goal and an assist in the contest. Matt Anderson also scored a goal for Auburn Mountainview and Tyler Persons was awarded an assist.

Nick Creveling earned the shoutout between the pipes, his third of the season.

The Lions are currently in fifth place in the SPSL 3A behind White River, Enumclaw, Peninsula and Bonney Lake, respectively.

The team will play at Lakes (0-3-0 league, 1-10-1 overall) at 7 p.m. today, Friday at Harry Lang Stadium in Lakewood.

ALSO: The Auburn (1-7-3) boys soccer team fell 2-1 to Kentlake (6-4-1) this past Tuesday. Justin Arreola scored the Trojans lone goal in the contest. The team will travel to Tahoma (6-3-1) for a 7:30 p.m. contest today.
