46th annual Auburn Veterans Day Parade: 11 a.m., Nov. 5, Main Street, Auburn. Parade boasts almost 200 units, including more than 25 marching bands, military vehicles, veterans’ units, honor guards and more.  Other related activities: • Auburn American Legion Post #78 Breakfast: 7-9 a.m., Auburn Senior Activity Center, 808 Ninth St. SE. Co-sponsored by the American Legion Post #78 and the City of Auburn. Cost is $6 per person and includes pancakes, eggs, ham and juice or coffee. The flame is lit and guarded through the night at the Veterans Memorial. Wreath placement, rifle salute, prayers and taps encompass the ceremony. • Veterans Day Marching Band Competition: 1 p.m., Auburn Memorial Stadium, 801 Fourth St. NE. One of the state’s largest marching band and field competitions. Hosted by the Auburn High School Band & Choir Parents. More than 30 bands compete in the field competition. Seattle Veterans Museum: The Seattle Veterans Museum will be open Friday and Saturday, Nov. 11-12, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. for the Veterans Day Weekend. The public is invited to stop by and visit the museum to honor service members and celebrate America’s freedom. The museum is regularly open every Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. It is also open on military holidays (Memorial Day, Fourth of July and Veterans Day) and by appointment for groups.  The museum is looking for more dedicated volunteers to expand its regular weekly hours of operation. SVM is an all-volunteer, nonprofit corporation established to honor military veterans.
