Algona Mayor Dave Hill recently took his seat on the board of directors of the Suburban Cities Association of King County (SCA).
Hill joins Matt Larson (Snoqualmie mayor); Sonny Putter (Newcastle councilmember); and Jamie Perry (Kent City Council president) on the board.
The board elected David Hutchinson, Lake Forest Park mayor, as its president last Friday.
At its first meeting of the new year, the boardalso elected Denis Law (Renton mayor) as vice president; Don Gerend (Sammamish mayor) as treasurer; and Lucy Krakowiak (Burien councilmember) as member-at-large to the executive committee.
Returning members of the board include Bob Sternoff (Kirkland councilmember); David Baker (Kenmore mayor); Margaret Harto (Covington mayor); Tony Piasecki (Des Moines city manager); and Ken Hearing (North Bend mayor), who will serve as the immediate past president.
Karen Goroski is the executive director.
The SCA is a nonprofit organization serving 37 suburban cities in King County. Its mission is to provide leadership through advocacy, education, mutual support
and networking to suburban cities in King County as they act locally and partner regionally to create livable vital communities.
