Auburn home sales soar 23 percent in March

Homes sales in Auburn increased 22.7 percent and home prices rose 5.8 percent in March compared to the same month last year.

A total of 119 homes were sold at a median price of $280,250, according to numbers compiled by Redfin, a Seattle-based real estate company. The numbers only reflect transactions on the Multiple Listing Service, a local or regional database of available real estate for sale by member brokers.

The median price was $285,000 for single-family homes and $119,878 for condos and town homes.

Auburn homes spent an average of 44 days on the market in March.
