Nurse assistant training center opens in south Auburn

Running Horse Wisdom Education Center, specializing in training for careers in the nursing profession, recently opened in south Auburn.

The center – located at 3312 Auburn Way S., Suite K, just east of the Muckleshoot Casino – provides Washington state-mandated preparatory training for those interested in becoming a Nursing Assistant Certified (NAC). The center provides self-development workshops, including the guidance and tools to further self-development in a variety of personal strengths.

New classes begin the first Monday or Tuesday of every month. Day classes are available from 9 a.m.-3 p.m., Tuesday-Friday, evening classes from 5-10 o’clock Monday-Thursday.

Students can become a nursing assistant after completing the four-week program and become eligible to take the state NAC test.

Eileen Martin, RN, Phd., is program director and primary instructor. Martin has taught nursing assistant classes since 2004 in Washington and Oregon. She prides herself in teaching the “latest and greatest” tools and theory to assist students in reaching their goals.
