Artists sought for Auburn’s ArtRageous

City of Auburn is seeking artists for participation in Auburn’s ArtRageous, a one-day event on Saturday, Aug. 7 to instruct and demonstrate fine art practices, principles and techniques in a festival setting.

City of Auburn is seeking artists for participation in Auburn’s ArtRageous, a one-day event on Saturday, Aug. 7 to instruct and demonstrate fine art practices, principles and techniques in a festival setting.

ArtRageous: Artist in Action Art Fair, an award winning event in its second year, will run from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Les Gove Park. The festival seeks to offer opportunities for attendees of all ages to learn and experience a wide variety of art mediums, techniques and terminology through both observing and participating.

A variety of diverse and interactive art projects for attendees of all ages are sought. Artists are compensated for their time and materials based on the budget submitted as part of the application. Suggested budgets for organizing and leading a project range between $100 and $400. Examples of interactive projects and demonstrations encouraged to apply includes plein air painting, printmaking, pottery, woodworking, jewelry, textiles and culturally specific art forms.
