Rep. Katrina Asay, R-Milton, invites constituents to participate in a telephone town hall meeting scheduled for Thursday, March 24. The hour-long call will begin promptly at 6:30 p.m.

To participate, residents may call the toll-free number at 1-877-229-8493 and enter the code 17601 when prompted. Once on the line, participants may select star 3 (*3) on their telephone keypads to ask a question. Or, they can simply listen in from the comfort of their own homes. There will also be an opportunity at the end of the call to leave a message for Asay to return.

“We just hit a critical juncture in the Legislature where we will now be focused on budget-related bills. Getting feedback from constituents will be very helpful as we look at how to address the current budget shortfall and the looming multibillion dollar spending gap beginning July 1,” Asay said. “I encourage constituents to join this important discussion if they can. Hopefully, this format will make it easier for residents to participate in their government.”

Constituents who are unable to attend the telephone town hall meeting can reach Asay at her legislative office at 360-786-7830 or katrina.asay@leg.wa.gov. Those with specific issues working with a state agency or resolving an issue with a state program or service are asked to contact her office directly so she can begin working on the issue immediately.
