Auburn police responded to the following calls for service, among many others, between April 2 and April 4:
April 2
Vandalism: 9 a.m., 2800 block of Forest Ridge Drive Southeast. A man called to report that another man had chucked a rock through the front and rear window of his vehicle, resulting in damages undisclosed.
Strong-arm street robbery: 3:41 a.m., 1400 block of I Street Northeast. A woman reported that a man unknown pushed her down and stole her purse.
April 3
Theft: 9 p.m., 1406 Lake Tapps Parkway E. Somebody broke into the car of a client of the Renton Clinic and swiped her lockbox. Inside the lock box were prescriptions for methadone. The woman said the car sustained no damage, but she found the lock box down the street from the parking lot of Top Foods.
Theft from motor vehicle: 3:30 a.m., 1500 block of 29th St. SE. Somebody stole a laptop computer, vehicle registration and an insurance card from a vehicle.
Vandalism: 8:20 a.m., 2901 Auburn Way S. A man called to report that a woman had broken a window at his apartment.
Controlled substance: 5:20 p.m., 5400 block of Auburn Way S. A mother called to report that she had found drug paraphernalia in her son’s bedroom.
Assault: 10 p.m., 11300 block of Southeast 299th Court. A fight broke out between two guys at a party in Auburn. The victim sustained serious injuries and was transported to Harborview Hospital.
Vandalism: 2:25 p.m., 1200 block of W Street Northwest. A resident reported that rogues had cut down several trees on his property without his permission.
April 4
Arson of public property: 7:54 a.m., 1005 37th St. SE. Somebody struck a match at Gildo Rey Elementary over the weekend. Police did not disclose the damages or what was burned.
Theft: Overnight, 28700 block of 55th Avenue S. Somebody stole a woman’s bracelet while its owner lay sleeping.
Theft: 5:30 a.m., 20 49th St. NE. Somebody removed copper pipes and fittings from a portable classroom at the Rainier Christian School over the weekend.
