Feb. 14

Theft: 1:45 a.m., 1108 D St. SE. Thieves cut an undisclosed quantity of copper wire from a Qwest telephone pole and slithered off with it. Police did not disclose the monetary value of the loss.

Feb. 15

Trespassing: 6:25 a.m., 202 N. Division St. While most folks were just rising for the day, a man at Auburn Medical Center had already made a great big pain in the neck of himself and received the boot.

Disorderly conduct: 9:16 a.m., 500 Auburn Way S. Police arrested a man for spicing his highway off-ramp begging with too much vim and verve.

Bike theft: 10 a.m., 720 block of 7th Street Southeast. Somebody stole somebody else’s green Schwinn bicycle, value undisclosed.

Assault with aggravating injury: 8 p.m., 401 37th St. SE. Two friends got into a fight in a bedroom, and two others who were there sustained cuts from broken window glass. The contestants fled the scene, and the victims refused to cooperate.

Luring: 2:21 p.m., 11500 SE 320th St. A man may have used the lure of a ride in the rain to try to entice two girls into his vehicle, despite being told no.

Feb. 18

ID theft: 2:32 p.m., 6530 block of Francis Avenue Southeast. A resident called police to report that someone else had used his Social Security number to file a tax return.

Bike theft: 6:22 a.m., 1317 Harvey Road NE. A woman called police from the Alano Club to report that an unknown male had stolen her bicycle.

Luring: 3:20 p.m., 1015 24th St. NE. Two males in a green pickup truck with a tan canopy tried to lure a 13-year-old girl into their vehicle in front of Cascade Middle School. The girl ran home.

Burglary: 8:55 a.m., 126 Auburn Way S. Somebody tried to break into an Auburn dry cleaning business.
