Both eastbound lanes on 8th Street Northeast between M Street Northeast/Harvey Road and R Street Northeast are now open. Crews have completed interim repair work to address roadway damage caused by a water line that broke when a vehicle struck a fire hydrant last week.

Permanent repair work will be required and is anticipated to occur throughout the next two weeks. Additional traffic advisories will be developed as the work is scheduled. The work is not dependent on weather.

Access to residences and businesses within the project area will be maintained during construction and some delays may be necessary.
