Kris Schram, who has worked at North Auburn Rehabilitation and Health Center since 1980, was recognized for her outstanding service by her peers as part of National Nursing Assistant Week.

According to Allyson Jenkins, the center’s administrator: “Kris works tirelessly and displays her passion for the elderly on a daily basis.

“With the average length of employment for nursing assistants in long-term care being less than one year, she is definitely in her own league,” Jenkins pointed out.

When Schram was asked what she looks for in a job, she replied: “The knowledge that what I do makes a difference in the world”.

Schram said that if she had one wish, it would be that she could twitch her nose, make everyone well and put herself out of a job.
