According to the department, an unidentified subject robbed a bank in the 200 block of A Street at 12:33 p.m. Feb. 27. The suspect pulled on a black face mask prior to his entrance into the bank and aimed a black semi-automatic handgun with a silver barrel at the people in the bank, ordering them to get down. The suspect demanded money and left after receiving it without further incident, according to the department. The department’s public information log listed multiple victims, a witness, and additional involvements in the incident.

Strangulation

Auburn police responded on March 3 after receiving a report at approximately 8:27 a.m. regarding an aggravated assault in the 800 block of 50th Street Southeast. According to the department’s public information log, police initiated an investigation into a strangulation incident that resulted in injury. The department’s log listed one victim in the incident. Auburn police arrested one individual in the incident on a felony charge of assault in the second degree.

Hit-and-run collision

Auburn police responded on Feb. 29 after receiving a report at approximately 12:48 p.m. regarding a hit-and-run traffic collision in the 4900 block of D Street Northeast. According to the department’s public information log, a subject struck an attended vehicle, while driving a motor vehicle on a public roadway with a suspended license, failing to yield to a motor vehicle who had the right of way. According to the log, the subject was operating a vehicle with no insurance, and resisted arrest. Police booked the subject on charges including the non-injury hit-and-run of an attended vehicle, resisting arrest, and driving with a suspended license in the third degree. Police recovered a handgun and magazine as evidence in the incident.

Robbery involving firearms

Auburn police responded on Feb. 28-29 after receiving a report at approximately 11:32 p.m. regarding a robbery involving firearms. According to the department’s public information log, police investigated a robbery with a gun in the 1300 block of 15th Street Northeast. A tool kit was reported stolen in the incident, with damage done to the windows of a vehicle. The department’s log identified no suspects in the incident and two victims.
