Dean McAuley, a Valley Regional Fire Authority firefighter, received a Delta Dental Smile Award for his philanthropic work in the community.

A Pacific resident, whose son was once a volunteer firefighter there, nominated McAuley.

The Delta Dental Smile Power Team dubbed April 27 Dean Day in honor of McAuley’s contributions in Pacific through a variety of programs.

Delta Dental of Washington contributed $500 checks to the Fill the Boot for Muscular Dystrophy and the fight against multiple sclerosis – two McAuley-supported campaigns.

Delta Dental Smile Power Team visited Auburn and South King County last week, bringing surprise and delight while honoring Smile Makers, community members and local organizations who give back through volunteering, kind acts and other good deeds.
