In King County, 590 motorists were stopped and arrested for driving under the influence, and statewide law enforcement officers arrested 2,672 drivers for DUI.

In King County, the Algona, Auburn, Bellevue, Black Diamond, Burien, Clyde Hill, Covington, Des Moines, Enumclaw, Issaquah, Kent, Kirkland, Maple Valley, Mercer Island, Newcastle, Normandy Park, North Bend, Pacific, Port of Seattle, Redmond, Renton, Sammamish, SeaTac, Seattle, Snoqualmie, and Tukwila Police Departments, and the Washington State Patrol participated in the extra emphasis patrols, with the support of the King County Traffic Safety Task Force and the City of Kent Drinking Driver Task Force.

The Bothell Police Department also conducted patrols as part of the Snohomish County DUI and Target Zero Task Force. The extra patrols were funded by a grant from the Washington Traffic Safety Commission.
