The Valley Regional Fire Authority responded to 177 calls for service between Nov. 16 and Nov. 22, among them the following:

Nov. 16/strong>

Car accident: 9:03 a.m., (Auburn). Firefighters and King County Medics treated a diabetic woman who had been involved in an auto accident at West Valley Highway and Peasley Canyon Road. They then transported the woman and her young daughter to Auburn Regional Medical Center.

Nov. 17/strong>

CPR: 10:47 a.m., (Auburn). Firefighters and King County Medics responding to a call for service found an unconscious and unresponsive woman. Although personnel performed CPR and used advanced life support measures, the woman died at the scene. Firefighters and medics left the woman and her family in the care of Auburn Police and the family chaplain.

Nov. 18/strong>

Service call: 5:25 p.m., (Pacific). Firefighters responded to a big tree down and blocking all lanes of West Valley Highway just north of Third Avenue. Two vehicles got banged up pretty good, but nobody was hurt. Firefighters attacked the large debris with chainsaws and shovels then reopened the highway and turned the scene over to the Pacific Police Department.

Nov. 19/strong>

Aid call: 9:44 a.m., (Auburn). Firefighters treated an elderly woman who had fallen and cut her left upper arm. Firefighters bandaged the wound, and American Medical Response (AMR) transported the woman to ARMC.

Nov. 20/strong>

Car versus building: 11:31 a.m., (Auburn). Firefighters and King County Medics performed CPR on the driver of a vehicle who had struck the Auburn Chiropractic Clinic in the 1400 block of Auburn Way South. The driver’s medical condition caused him to lose consciousness on Auburn Way South before his foot hit the gas and he jumped the curb and struck the building. King County Medic One transported the man to ARMC, where he died.

Nov. 21/strong>

Car accident: 5:02 p.m., (Auburn). Firefighters responded to a two car “T-bone” accident in the 1200 block of M Street Southeast that injured two men and two women. Auburn Police closed part of M Street Southeast for about an hour. An ambulance transported one man to ARMC.

Nov. 22

Automatic fire alarm: 5:45 p.m., (Lea Hill). Firefighters responding to an automatic fire alarm at the Amber View Apartments found the building empty and the alarm making a racket. Firefighters determined that someone had maliciously pulled the fire alarm. Firefighters reset the alarm and notified the alarm monitoring company.
