A man who was found stabbed to dead on Wednesday morning, July 8 on the Interurban Trail, south of West Main Street, has been identified as 50-year-old Michael Bippes, according to the King County Medical Examiner’s office.
The victim was found dead at the scene with multiple stab wounds at about 4:50 a.m. along the trail. The man was stabbed sometime after midnight on July 8, Auburn Police determined.
Cause of death was multiple stab wounds, according to the ME’s office. The death is classified as a homicide.
Police said the stabbing is unconnected with the deadly shootings of a transient man and woman at Les Gove Park on July 5.
Police continue to investigate.
