The Lakota Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution recently presented the National Defense Marine JROTC (Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps) bronze medal to Rachel Rosenlund, a junior at Kentwood High School.
Rosenlund was awarded for loyalty, patriotism and her record of military and scholastic achievement in the ROTC program. Hilda Meryhew, regent of the Lakota Chapter presented the honor.
