Auburn Parks, Arts & Recreation is gearing up for its annual KidsDay event, to be held at Game Farm Park on June 20.
The event, held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., will feature nine inflatable rides, children’s activities, live stage entertainment, mini golf, kids’ arts and craft booths, food concessions, more than 55 information/activity vendors and more.
The Auburn Police Department and Subway restaurants have joined together to encourage bike safety on Auburn streets.
Auburn Police officers will be looking for children on bicycles that are demonstrating safe riding by wearing proper safety gear and following the rules of the road.
When officers recognize a child utilizing safe riding techniques, they will be awarded a “Safe Rider Citation” card that can be redeemed for a complimentary three-inch Subway sandwich at participating Subway restaurants.
