Auburn police responded to the following calls for service between April 9 and April 13:
April 9
Theft: 4:40 p.m., 30500 block of 58th Avenue South. Six fruit trees bordering the driveway of a home were cut down without the owner’s consent or knowledge.
April 10
Strong arm home robbery: 10:55 a.m., 12700 block of Southeast 212th Street. A suspect assaulted an employee working in an apartment at the Seasons at Lea Hill. The bad guy snatched the apartment keys and fled. The victim sustained minor injuries.
Assault with a knife: 11:30 a.m., 200 block of 7th Street Southeast. A knife-wielding man stabbed another man as he stood at the front door of his house. The suspect had a previous romantic relationship with the victim’s current girlfriend.
April 11
Shoplifting: 1 p.m., 101 Auburn Way S. Police arrested a person — he, she, police didn’t say — after store security caught him or her trying to swipe various unidentified items from Safeway.
Weapons offense: 8:47 p.m., 11000 block of Southeast 318th Place. A vehicle stopped in a residential neighborhood, then somebody popped off three shots from an unseen gun. One of the bullets struck and shattered the back window of a vehicle.
Trespass: 12:38 a.m., 1300 block of 8th Street Northeast. Police told a man to get out of a 7-Eleven and stay out of after he expressed himself in unfriendly terminology to a clerk.
April 12
Assault: 6:21 p.m., 4100 block of A Street Southeast. A boy got into a fight with two other boys and came away from the fracas nursing a bloody nose. The other boys got away. After treating the boy, police charged him with being a minor consuming a fermented beverage and released him to his grandfather.
April 13
Assault: 3:30 p.m., 620 37th St. S.E. One student tried to beat up another student at Mt. Baker Middle School.
Burglary: Overnight, 100 block of I Street Southeast. Upon finding damage to a rear screen door, a homeowner deduced that somebody had tried to break into his home.
Vandalism: 8:55 a.m., 1800 block of Howard Road Southeast. Somebody vandalized a business sign in some way.
Theft from car: 12:56 p.m., 3300 block of Auburn Way North. Somebody stole unspecified items from a car.
Burglary: Midnight, 1900 block of 22nd Street Northeast. Somebody burglarized a home between late October and April. And that’s all police had to say.
Traffic collision with hit and run: 1 p.m., 400 block of M Street Southeast. A man rear ended a car at 400 M Street Southeast and ran away. Police caught up with the fleet foot a few blocks from the scene. He told police that he had run because he was scared. Police booked the man into the Auburn Jail for hit-and-run with a person in the car. Nobody was hurt.
Disorderly conduct: Midnight, 1500 block of 30th Street Southeast. Police arrested a man for assaulting another man right in front of an officer.
