Dec. 8

Theft from motor vehicle: 3:45 p.m., 11OO Supermall Way SW. An Auburn resident reported that somebody broke into his or her car at the SuperMall and took CDs, a leather coat, sweater vests, cashmere sweaters, boots and red patent leather shoes.

Dec. 9

Theft from motor vehicle: Overnight, 1500 block of 12th Place Northeast. Somebody vandalized a Honda CRV in some way and in so doing stole a backpack presumably with items valued at a penny or more inside. Police did not disclose a value.

Theft of vehicle: Overnight, 1 16th St. NE. Somebody stole a company vehicle from the Comfort Inn over night. Police did not disclose a value.

Bad brownies: 1 p.m., 800 4th St. NE. Auburn High School authorities discovered a student with a marijuana brownie he had allegedly bought from a second student who had baked it. School authorities found the brownie baker and on him a marijuana pipe and a knife. Authorities found a third student with a pipe, and he admitted to giving the baker his pipe. School authorities suspended all the students from school, and police filed the case for prosecution.

Theft of bike: Overnight, 1600 block of B Street Southeast. Somebody stole somebody else’s aluminum Probox GT BMX bicycle. Police did not disclose a value.

Shoplifting: 4:26 p.m., 226 E. Main St. Somebody stole an $89 coat from Rottles.

Trespassing: 5:48 p.m., 210 W. Main St. Police instructed a man to get out of the West Main Short Stop and to keep his physical being away from it until next December.

Vandalism: 8 p.m., 6300 block of 37th Place SE. A man reported that gunfire damaged two of his cars while they were parked in his driveway.

Theft: 9:15 p.m., 1400 block of 17th Street Southeast. A man called to report that another man had stolen $120 from him in a Craigslist scam.

Dec. 10

Hit and run: 7:42 a.m., 1700 block of M Street Southeast. A man left the scene of a traffic accident but was later found at a nearby gas station, whereupon police arrested him.

Controlled substance: 1:10 p.m., 1015 24th St. NE. Authorities at Cascade Middle School suspended a student from school for possessing marijuana.

Bad beggar: 1:56 p.m., 1300 15th St. NW. Police arrested a man for aggressive begging.

She was mad: Midnight, 3700 block of Auburn Way South. After a man moved out of his female roommate’s apartment, she returned $4,000 to $5,000 dollars worth of his clothes cut up and destroyed so that he would “feel the pain she felt”. The guy did not want to press charges, he just wanted the incident documented for future court proceedings.

Shoplifting: 11:32 p.m., 2902 Auburn Way S. A man arrested for shoplifting multiple items from QFC complicated his legal woes by having in his possession a small plastic baggie that tested positive for methamphetamines.

Dec. 13

Vandalism: 1:46 p.m., 800 block of F Street Southeast. Police arrested a boy for picking up a BB gun, taking aim and shooting out the rear window of a parked, unoccupied vehicle.

Vandalism: Overnight, 12722 SE 312th Street. An Auburn resident, gender not given, reported that somebody unknown to him or her punctured two tires on his or her vehicle while it was parked in his or her apartment complex.

Controlled substance/the means to smoke it: 11:54 p.m., 2600 block of D Street Southeast. Police stopped a man for a traffic matter, then arrested him for possessing a marijuana pipe.

Dec. 14

Vandalism: 6:45 a.m., 620 37th St. SE. A lone no-goodnik or perhaps several no-goodniks acting in tandem took up large rocks and broke several windows at Mt. Baker Middle School sometime between Dec. 11 and Dec. 14. Police did not disclose a value.

Theft from motor vehicle: 9:01 p.m., 1317 Harvey Road NE. Two people left an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting to discover that thieves had broken into their cars and stolen undisclosed items.

Dec. 15

Disorderly conduct: 4:12 a.m., 4000 block of A Street Southeast. A man called 911 to report that he had been assaulted. But when police showed up, he admitted that no, he had not in fact been assaulted, he was just cold and wanted to go to the hospital to get warm. Police weren’t amused, so they arrested the man for causing an unnecessary emergency response and took him to the Auburn jail, where he was able to warm his bones for a few hours before being released on his own recognizance.
