Auburn police responded to the following calls for service between on May 28:

May 28

Shoplifting: 7:35 a.m., 1200 block of East Main St. A convenience store that police declined to name reported that a man sequestered a candy bar on his person and left without paying.

Disorderly conduct: 1 p.m., 1300 block of Auburn Way South. Police arrested a man for defecating in a church parking lot.

Shoplifting: 3 p.m., 1425 Supermall Way SW. Police arrested a woman by citation after Wal-Mart store security caught her shoplifting a paintbrush.

Shoplifting: 4:52 p.m., 1101 Supermall Way SW. Police arrested a woman for shoplifting clothing and a bag from the Sports Authority at the Auburn SuperMall.

Theft: Midnight, 1100 block of 37th Street Southeast. Somebody stole a woman’s rings from her apartment. Police did not disclose a value.

Theft from car: 6:38 p.m., 1400 block of 13th Street Northeast. A woman reported that somebody stole two guitars and an iPod from her car. Police did not disclose a value.

Strong arm robbery: 7:43 p.m., 101 Auburn Way S. Store security at Safeway detained a boy and girl after the duo swiped a box of hair dye. During the detention, the boy tried to flee and mix it up with employees. The girl was released to her mother on shoplifting charges and the boy was booked into King County Juvenile intake for second-degree robbery.
