SmileMobile is coming to Algona-Pacific in June

The Washington Dental Service Foundation SmileMobile will visit the Algona-Pacific area in June, offering dental care to children from low-income families.

The Washington Dental Service Foundation SmileMobile will visit the Algona-Pacific area in June, offering dental care to children from low-income families.

The SmileMobile – a brightly painted 38-foot dental clinic on wheels – will appear and provide examinations from 8:45 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 21, 23 at the New Hope Lutheran Church, 603 Third Ave. SE, Pacific.

Children 18 and under with limited access to dental care can be scheduled by calling the church at 253-351-0450.

Follow-up treatment appointments will be scheduled on a space-available basis for the duration of the SmileMobile’s stay.

Medicaid and sliding scale fee is accepted as reimbursement for services.

The SmileMobile is staffed by a clinic manager, dentist and dental assistant, and teams of local volunteer dental professionals in each community it visits.

The SmileMobile is operated by Washington Dental Service Foundation, a non-profit organization created and partially funded by Washington Dental Service.

The SmileMobile, which travels the state year-round providing services ranging from exams and preventive care to fillings and minor oral surgery, has examined and treated more than 25,000 youngsters in communities throughout Washington State.
