Oct. 10

Aid call: 3 p.m., (Pacific). Firefighters evaluated a driver who had fallen from a semi-truck, and a private ambulance transported him to MultiCare Auburn Medical Center.

Oct. 11

Aid call: 9:13 a.m., (Lea Hill). Firefighters responded to a woman who told them she might have overdosed on pills, and a private ambulance transported her to MAMC.

Oct. 12

Gas Leak: 4:39 p.m., (Pacific). Firefighters responded to a land-clearing construction site where an excavator had hit a small gas line. Firefighters created a safe zone, found the connecting foot valve and shut off the leak. Air monitoring confirmed the hazard had been removed. Puget Sound Energy arrived to complete repairs.

Oct. 13

Mobile Home Fire: 4:59 a.m., (Auburn). Having arrived at a residential fire in a mobile home park on Auburn Way South, firefighters found heavy smoke billowing from the back of a small mobile home. Firefighters donned their protective gear, got in and extinguished the fire. A smoke detector had alerted the lone occupant and he got out safely. VRFA investigators are looking into the cause of the fire.

Aid call: 4 p.m., (Lakeland Hills). Firefighters helped a woman who was complaining of abdominal pain, and a private ambulance transported her to a local hospital for further evaluation.

Oct. 15

MVA: 1 p.m., (Auburn). Having responded to a two-vehicle collision in the 4000 block of B Street Northwest, firefighters and Medic One extricated two patients from one vehicle and treated them and did the same for another person from the other vehicle. King County Medic One personnel evaluated one of the patients, and a private ambulance transported that person in stable condition to a local hospital.

Oct. 16

Aid call: 12:26 p.m., (Auburn). Firefighters awakened and evaluated a man who’d been found unconscious, and left him at the scene with family members.
