Auburn Mountainview defeats Lakes 6-3 in league action | Fastpitch

Pitcher Kristin Herren earned her first win of the season with a 6-3 South Puget Sound League 3A win over Lakes on Thursday.

Herren threw four innings, giving up three hits and one earned run while striking out seven. Alleyah Amendariz earned the save for the Lions with three innings of work, giving up just one hit and striking out three.

At the dish, Amanda Colella had three hits in four appearances with two RBIs. Herren scored two runs and had one stolen base, offensively, and Jayme Lin was 2-for-2 at the plate with a run scored.

The Lions improve to 2-0 on the season, 1-0 in league. The team played Franklin Pierce today and will host Capital at 4 p.m. tomorrow in a nonleague game.
