The Auburn Riverside girls lost twice to Kentridge in South Puget Sound League North 4A action on Thursday. In the first game of the doubleheader the Ravens (4-10 league, 4-14 overall) were unable to overcome a 6-2 deficit despite a three-run fifth inning burst, losing the game 6-5.

Emma Bedsworth, Alli Hand and Taylor Poe all went 3-of-4 from the plate with a double apiece.

Poe was tagged with the loss in the circle and Lizett Dominguez earned the win for the Chargers (9-3, 11-3).

Samantha Noszlopy had two hits and a run scored and Natalie Overall added two RBIs and a double for Kentridge.

In the second game Auburn Riverside was held to just two hits by Dominguez, who notched five strikeouts.

Bedsworth had a solo home run and Emily Valnes was 1-of-2.

Chloe Meier had two RBIs and Jessica Torlai was 3-of-3 hitting with four runs scored and four stolen bases for Kentridge. Brianne Drury added a triple.

Auburn Riverside, currently seventh in the SPSL North 4A, will close out its season next week with a 4 p.m. game Wednesday at Thomas Jefferson (8-6, 10-7).

ALSO: Auburn (0-12, 0-13) fell 11-1 to Kentwood (11-3, 11-6) on Thursday. The Trojans finish up the season at 4 p.m. at Kent-Meridian (0-12, 0-12).
