Auburn Riverside senior forward Kat Cooper has been selected to play for the Washington State all-star girls basketball team in the Northwest Shootout against an all-star squad from Oregon. The game is set for Saturday, April 2 at the Chiles Center in Portland.

The game will be the second postseason all-star contest for Cooper, a 6-foot forward who averaged 19 points per game this season. This past weekend Cooper, who will attend Boston College next year, dropped in 16 points for the all-state 4A squad in the Washington Interscholastic Basketball Coaches Association Senior Girls All-State game. The 4A girls defeated the 3A girls 102-75.

Senior guard Brooklynn Hinkens also received a postseason all-star squad nod this week, earning a spot at the Queens of the Hardwood all-star game, Saturday, April 23 at Foster High School in Tukwila.

Hinkens averaged 13.6 points per game for the 21-5 Ravens this season and helped drive the team to a South Puget Sound League North 4A title and a berth in the state tourney.
